Disable right side traffic detection?

I ride in the Netherlands, so we ride on the right side of the road. Sometimes the bike path is on the left of the road. The causes the RTL515 to detect traffic comming from behind and from the right. I'm not interested in traffic that is overtaking me on the right side, as this would be very unusual. Is there a way to tell the device which side of the road you normally drive, so it can exclude non-logical detectections?

There is no way to do that. In fact, the radar's field of view is quite wide, and the radar doesn't know on which side the overtaking vehicle is. It only knows that a large piece of metal is closing in…

Hmm, maybe Garmin could add an option to the RTL515 to define if you are a right of left side driver :)

They would have to modify the hardware heavily to achieve that.
