Varia - RTL 510 - Light is switching

Hey there

i got the 510 Varia and I am pretty happy with it but there is one thing that drives me nuts:
I am Starting my ride with flash modus but after a few minutes I notice that the light is no longer flashing but is Now on consistent mode. I did not touch the button to switch it till that point.
So I have to press the button while I am riding again and again and hoping for a big window which I can use as a mirror to see which mode is actually on.

am I doing anything wrong? Any ideas would be very welcome

This is because you’re connected to the watch/edge as a light network. When u start an activity. It will default to constant light mode. U have to manually switch it again to flashing.

That’s the way garmin made it.

Not sure if it's the same for your 510, but on my 820 i had to go into settings, sensors, lights, network options, light mode, then you can choose which mode you want it to start up with everytime the radar connects to the edge.
