Question on RTL515

Garmin friends,

I really like the RTL515.

One question I have that I can't figure out on my android phone....

Use case:

I am using ANT+ with a Garmin computer; all good. I want to use my android phone in my pocket and have the Varia app vibrate with traffic while still using the ANT+ connection.

Any ideas, please?

I don’t have a 515, but generally speaking ANT+ and BTLE can be used simultaneously.

Perfectly possible with the 515.

I have the 515 with an Edge 830. If you open the Varia app on your phone before setting off, you’ll feel the vibrations from the phone whilst riding.

That said, I find the Edge perfectly good enough.....can hear the beep when a car approaches no problem. Did a ride for a couple of hours tonight, sometimes into the wind (no way could you hear the car behind) but the Garmin always kept me safe.

This is the first Varia I’ve owned, and I love it. No way would I want to ride without one now.
