Varia 500 and RDU, connects but won't display cars

I recently purchased an older Varia 500 and RDU combo, I have upgraded the firmware on the VARIA 500 unit but cannot find how to update the RDU? It is connecting via Bluetooth but not displaying the traffic coming up from behind. I am hoping this is just a firmware issue? Any thoughts?

The units need to paired together. Have you gone through the pairing process?

They were paired, I updated the firmware on the rear radar unit and now my RDU is stuck with a pink light on the top and a white light for the side label "front" any thoughts?
