New Auto mode:
RADAR = on
Light = off
When radar detects a car Varia should activate the default light mode.
After passing the radar und no following cars die light should switch off.
This would be an great plus in security for the cyclist!

I think that would be a bad idea ... the light is visible by cars even if the radar doesn't pick them up. Plus, it's visible to other cyclist.
Agreed - vehicles should see a distant bike with an active tail light long before they are in range of the radar.
Why would you want to surprise them at the last second by activating the light. If you've gone to the trouble of getting a radar unit, you should be running the light ALL the time.
Horses for courses really. I'm on the other side of the fence. I actually quite like the idea. It makes a good battery saver when on monster rides. The radar usually picks up way before the car gets to me so it's not exactly last second.
It's the sort of thing I'd only use in daylight running & changes of state are more likely to focus a driver to my presence than a constant light, which although seen can be disregarded by the brain.
It would be an option anyway so you could choose to use it or not for your personal preference
FWIW: This already exists ... the radar is active even when the light isn't. Just turn off the light using your head unit and the radar will stay on.
I don't think so unless your head unit supports. I'm using 520+ and when I toggle to standby mode just after the flashing mode, the head unit disconnects from radar. There is an app called "Tail Light Field" that I believe will allow you to switch off the light from the head unit but is not compatible with 520+.
