Edge 1030 battery pack outfront mount + Varia HL-500

Cross posted to the Edge 1030 forum.

I'm considering getting the battery pack for my Edge 1030 ... but I also have a Varia HL-500 headlight.

Will the HL-500 attach to underside of the battery pack's out front mount (not at the same time, of course)?

If not, is there an adapter that I could get to accomplish this?
