RTL 501 question

I just bought me a second-hand RTL 501 and RDU head unit in absolute mint condition. It works fine and shows up on my F5Xplus during use, but I wonder why it does not show up in Garmin connect (web) under my units like my F5X, Index, V3, etc? I have registered and can see it in myGarmin under products.

Would have been nice to see it together with my other units, and easier to watch settings, fw, etc. Any suggestions?

If I had to venture a guess... it's because the unit doesn't exchange information with Garmin Connect. It does nothing to contribute to your fitness (although it does effect your safety) so it's not considered a fitness device.

It's exactly that. They will appear in Garmin Express if you were to plug in for firmware updates. (There haven't been any for RTL500/501 for over 12 months though)
