I went to mount my new 510 this morning and it seemed there was no way that the smaller band could be stretched to fit around my standard-sized round seatpost. So I installed the larger band but it isn't really very tight. The small band is what I should use, right? The only thing I can think of is that I was doing this in my basement shop and it's pretty cold down there at this time of year. Maybe putting the band in some hot water for a couple minutes would soften it up enough to get it on there?
Also, the (so-called) instructions don't give a spec for the clearance of the unit over the top of the tire. I'm installing mine below my seat bag so this might be an issue. Right now I can easily get it a couple of inches (50mm) above the tire -- is this enough?
