510 Light shutting off while riding with Edge 1030

I went on my first ride with the 510 radar connected to an Edge 1030. The radar stayed connected to the edge the entire time, as the radar icon remained solid and I could see cars during the entire ride (inner city). The radar itself was fantastic.
I have the light network set to 'Individual' and then used the physical button to set the light to slow pulse. During a 1 hour ride I stopped 3 times, each time seeing the light was OFF. I used the button to turn it back on each time. I then parked it in my garage without a ride recording, but still connected to the Edge. The light was off 20 minutes later when I came out to the garage (radar was still connected).
Is this something I'm doing wrong? Assuming it's a wonderfully dangerous and potentially fatal defect, should I just disconnect it from the light network and keep the radar on to fix it? I could honestly care less about controlling the light with the Edge...I just need it to stay on.

I forgot to mention, this was 7.07 beta on the Edge 1030. I just noticed 7.2 is out now.
  • ztbishop I have my RTL paired to my Edge Explore, so the menus might be different,

I cotrol the light mde using Menu > Sensors > Lights > Network Options > Light Mode {Auto, High Visibility, Trail, Individual}. I use the Auto Option.

I control the the Light Activation using Menu > Sensors > Lights > Network Options > Light Beam Activated { Timer Start, Device Power UP}. I keep this set at Timer Start Option.

With the Auto and Timer Start options selected, the light turns on in the Daylight Flas mode when the timer is running. I have me Edge Explore set to auto pause at 3 mph, so the timer stops when my speed drops below 3 mph. Since the timer is stopped, the light turns off.

I actually had to have a friend confirm that the light turns off when I stop and on when I restart.
