Hi, I've tried to find the info, but can't seem to see it. Can the Varia RTL510 be paired to multiple devices at the same time? Both would be Garmin 1000's. Thanks
Yes it can be paired with multiple devices at the same time. I would recommend only configuring a light network on one device if at all and pairing it as radar on the other devices.
Hi, how do I pair the Varia with the second device? When I turn the device on in pairing mode by holding in the power button it seems to drop the connection with the initial head unit.
the pairing mode is for the light so it can't be controlled from any random device near you. On the other hand anybody can connect to the radar.
I have been using it in group rides where a person with a radar is always on the end of a peloton and other people are getting these notifications to their edge devices.
It is useful when you are riding with somebody slow (wife, kids) - he/she/it will be always on the back and in case you will loose him you will be notified about lost connection to radar :D
