Headunit required?

i am thinking about buying the bundle when rei does their 20% off coupon again and was wondering if a head unit was required if you buy the bundle?

i have a 935 and a wahoo bolt. I understand I can change settings with my 935 but does it need to be running during the ride if I dont care about getting car updates to the watxh or can I just use the bundled portion on my stem? Thanks for the help.

If the question is can use the HMD and the radar together without a head unit then the answer is yes.
