I picked up a Varia Vision and used it for the first time today. I had no problem pairing it to my Edge 1000 and Varia Radar. The vibration notification is strong when I turn the unit on, but I get no vibration when the radar detects an approaching vehicle. At least, I don't feel any vibration. Do you only get the vibration alert from the radar when it's paired only to the radar?
Yesterday I was standing on the side of the road talking with another rider when a car came up the road. I used the opportunity to test the Varia Tail Light/Edge 1000 and the Vision. Both picked up the approaching car, but neither made a sound or vibrated. I have Tones set to Enabled on the Edge 1000, so I don't know why neither one is making a sound.
