I have the Varia Radar Unit and an Edge 1000, when vehicles approach the beep on the Edge is extremely difficult to hear and gets worse when it is windy. Does anyone have any solutions? Garmin says the problem is the Edge speaker is in basically the same place where the mount is. I have tried several different mounts and don't get any better results
There is a thread in the Edge 1000 forum that discusses drilling holes in the mount to increase volume. Solution #2 would be to purchase one of the Forerunner watches that has the vibration for approaching cars.
