Varia UT800 Can be charged when is on

Hello all,

would be possible to charge the Varia UT800 when it is on with a powerbank or similar? I used to ride long dinstances so would be nice for me

Not while it is in use. You can re-charge it from a powerbank, but not while it is operating.

The seller told me that would be possible to recharge the UT800 when it is operating

The Amazon posting does not claim that it will charge the light while it is in use. The seller might not understand that the restriction on charging while it is in use is built in to the UT800 software. I would be surprised if it worked while the light was operating.

I just got a UT800 (£100 in the Sigma Sport Black Friday sale, great deal), and thought I'd give this a go with an external battery pack. When you start to charge it the light turns off, when you stop charging the light comes on again.

Thanks would be interesting to know if the light switches off depends from the firmware or its hardware

Am I correct that the UT800 cannot be used while in charging mode?
