I have a radar unit (3.60) that works fine with the Edge 1000. However, recently acquired a new RDU and cannot pair the radar tail light with the RDU. RDU into pairing mode (power on, holding 5 seconds yields solid blue light), but powering on tail light doesn't do anything (i.e it doesnt pair with RDU). RDU sits in pairing mode forever. Thoughts?
The RDU doesn't register with Garmin Express - should have noted that. No idea what software. Other devices register on the same cable - defective RDU?
The RDU turns on/off (on = purple light, "front" illuminated), and enters pairing mode correctly (solid blue light) so it's not entirely dead, but it does not register with Garmin Express...
No joy. Tried several times with varying wait intervals. The RDU documentation is - well - very sparse indeed. Too bad, as I was looking forward to the audible (louder than the E1000) alarm.
Well the RDU doesn't have a speaker, so it wouldn't have helped anyway. Even so I can't get an RDU+RTL510 to pair, and as you pointed out the documentation is all but non-existent.
