Varia Vision data field does not match with EDGE 820 customisation

Updated software on EDGE 820 to 8.4, and Varia Vision to 3.4. Can no longer control or change data fields on varia vision through settings on EDGE 820. When selecting data fields on EDGE820, the wrong fields show up on the data screen for varia vision. Furthermore, EDGE820 often crashes when trying to change varia vision data fields. What can be done?

I have exactly same problem.
I works with the older firmware version 7.00, but when you upgrade to 8.40, it no longer works with Varia Vision. :-(

I reported this issue to Garmin and they said it is fixed in the next release.

Hi, I had a problem already when updating to software 8.40.I took the Garmin 820 to a service. They gave me a new one.
Because they thought that it is defective. I am test the new Garmin 820 and varia and work until I updated on software 8.40.
Then they told me to wait for a new series of updates. I upgrade the garmin edge 820 to the softwara version 8.50 even worse Garmin 820 is shut down.
A lot of disappointment over garmin

I reset Garmin 820 to the factory settings. now varia vision works.
