I too am having issues with data fields - I select certain metrics to be shown and the Varia shows something different (Cadence becomes Vertical Speed, %FTP becomes Power Balance). It's making the Varia Vision useless. Mine has been updated and is running v3.40. And my Edge 820 is on v8.40 so both up to date. Would like to reset Varia and see if it clears it.
1.Press power key to turn on device 2.Countdown 5 seconds after first vibration (Display on) 3.Press and hold power key until unit vibrates 4.Keep holding power key until unit vibrates again 5.Release power key, unit performs non-vol clear and reboots. .
Thanks very much for the instructions on how to test the Vision. I did the reset, but unfortunately: no joy. Have also reset 820 and datafields on Vision still not working right (sometimes crashing the 820). Vision is unusable. In fact, to be clear, it has never been usable for me. I realize these things happen with software but it definitely is a big frustration.
The same problems with Edge 820: trying to select Power 10s and instead have Balance... and so on... But i also had smaller problems with 1000; i think we'll have to wait next FW upgrade!
