Edge 520 and Varia Disconnects and shuts off

Just did a Factory Reset on the Edge before I saw you replied.
I re-paired them and it still disconnects after approx. 10 seconds.

I also did the factory reset on the Varia. Right now the only sensors the Edge is connected to are the Varia and the heart rate monitor. Bluetooth off.

Is the RTL configured under a light network as well on the Edge or is just there as a Radar.

Only as radar. There is a small curved symbol that blinks in upper right corner of Edge, but Varia still disconnects.

Have you had this working before?

I rode for around 3 hours with the RTL paired to the 520 using builds (3.40 and 12.10).

The 520 was also paired with an HRM, Di2, a speed senor and a power meter.

If your other sensors work OK with the Edge then the problem would appear to be with the RTL.

It should not make any difference, but do you know what model of RTL this is. There is a model for the German market that does not support a flashing light pattern.

No the unit has not worked at all since I received in on July 7, 2017. Brand new, it says Varia RTL 500, I don't know otherwise how to tell what model.
Thanks for trying to help, I've also put in a ticket in Support, but that also takes days and days.
You didn't reply if I should or should not have it hooked as a Light under the sensors? I'm assuming not, but please clarify.

It should not make any difference if it is part of a network. I was just interested in how it was configured.

In the Garmin folder on the RTL is a file called GarminDevice.xml. If you could post that file or open it up and post the value for the PartNumber that would help identify the model.
