Varia Vision Edge 1000 battery indicator Data Screen "?"

I have had a Varia Vision Tail Light Radar for about 6 months now. And when I have it connected to my Edge 1000 it works fine minus the Light Battery Data Screen. It always shows a battery icon with a question mark on the inside but doesn't show the actual battery level.

I have searched for an alternate data screen but I don't see anything. I was assuming it was just not supported and was waiting for a firm where update but like I said it's been 6 months, updated it multiple times and I have never gotten it to work.

Any one know how to display battery life of the Tail Light on an Edge 1000?

Good question. I have the same issue. Hate being out 30 miles and my radar drops out just because I forgot to check the battery! Should be easy to add indication to the Garmin Edge 1000 screen, no? Come on guys! Let's go!!

There are Connect IQ apps that will show the battery status.

Connect IQ data fields do not show on the Varia Vision

Just to clarify, you want the battery level to show on a model 1000 and not the Vision device? The tail light is not related to the Vision device.

The best Connect IQ app I have seen is called "Tail light field". Allows tail light to be turned off with radar still on. You won't have to go to the light widget anymore which takes more screen presses.
