Fitting Varia Radar vertically

Has anybody tried fitting their Varia Radar vertically rather than standard horizontal method ?

Will it work normally of fitted vertically ? I would prefer it hidden behind my seat post.

Btw does it work in rainy or muddy days ? Do we have to clean sensors every 5-10 minutes ?

Works fine in rain, fog, snow, hail, sunshine... All from an hour out in Scotland this morning.

Regarding vertical mounting - you'd have to try it out to confirm, but I would surmise that the radar beam pattern is in the same plane as the light bar, so detection of vehicles not directly in line with your device might suffer.

No problems in rain and mud, but don't reckon vertical mounting will work properly.

No problems in rain and mud, but don't reckon vertical mounting will work properly.

I imagine that this would cause difficulties with multiple car detection.
