Is it possible to develop a connect IQ APP to connect Forerunner 235 or other devices which are not compatible to VARIA VISION to connect to this device? And if so, is it not also in the interest of Garmin to develop such an APP to keep the Forerunner 235 and the VARIA VISION up to date?
I think they are really marketing the Vision to cycling and multi-sport devices vice wanting you to upgrade... though the fenix chronos seems to be the oldest device they support.
