Head Light , Radar light and Edge 810 Erratic

Hi All

I raised this with Garmin support a few days ago but no response as yet .

I have a EDGE 810 SW Ver 5.10 and the Varia Headlight Ver 2.5 and Radar Ver 3.40. I have checked and this appears to be the latest versions .

I never know what to expect on switch on. I switch the Radar on then the 810 , sometimes it will find the headlight but it may not show it as connected . It always finds the radar but doesn't always find the rear light . Over 30 operations maybe only 2 or 3 times has the Light page appeared in the training pages. Even when it hasn't 'found ' the headlight it will switch it off when the 810 is switched off .

Any thoughts ?

Also should the Light page offer any operation options , on the odd occasions it has appeared all it has ever shown me is a decreasing Bar Graph with AUTO next to it , should there be any control from there ?

The radar is a great safety features down the lanes but the lights are frustrating me !

I'm seeing (or not seeing) similar with my Edge 820, sometimes the training page is there other times it isn't, also when the Light Network is set to Auto the Radar Light switches to constant from flashing.
I'm sure there's some setting I've missed somewhere. :o

Did you ever get a response from Garmin?
I'm on the verge of giving up on trying to pair my lights with my 820, which is a shame because on the odd occasion it works as designed it works quite well.
