There is a terrific bike trail between Folsom and Sacramento where I live. Occasionally I stop and the white dots appear on my computer display. They are approaching bikes rather than cars. Anyone else notice this?
Yep -- I've seen the same (pretty infrequently, though). For example, this happened when I slowed down to wait for a buddy of mine to catch up. He was movin' pretty good while I was crawling along. The Varia briefly picked him up but dropped the dot as soon as I speed up and our speeds were closer together. Seems to work as designed in that case.
I was on a steepish climb when I noticed a dot on my screen a few weeks back, I couldn't hear a car and it turned out to be a cyclist.
Must try harder. :o
I've had the same .... turned out to be a rather large gentleman on a road bike. Luckily I was with my son so was pace limited, otherwise I'd have been horrified to have been passed by him! :o
