Hello!
I use an Edge 520 paired with a speed sensor, cadence sensor and chest HRM - all Garmin brand.
It is paired via Bluetooth to my Nexus 5x Phone.
I just got the Varia Radar and Varia RDU as a gift.
The Varia RDU loses and regains connection to the Varia Radar intermittently - about every minute or two - whenever the Edge 520 is on.
This does not appear to happen when the 520 is off.
It does it whether or not:
1. The phone is paired with the Edge.
2. The Bluetooth is off on the Edge.
3. The Edge is paired with the radar.
The strange part: when I simultaneously pair the radar with the 520, it works flawlessly on the 520 while the RDU continues to lose connection. On occasion, the RDU will be drop out in the middle of a car detection while the 520 continues to display the approach.
WHAT I HAVE TRIED TO DO TO FIX IT:
1. "Forgot" phone and re-paired.
2. "Forgot" every sensor and re-paired.
3. Factory reset the Edge 520.
4. Re-paired the Radar to the RDU.
5. Re-paired the Radar to the 520.
6. Unpaired the radar to the 520 and tried to only used the RDU.
Ideally, I'd use both the 520 and the RDU - I like the sound on the one and the visibility on the other.
My second choice would be to solely use the RDU, but it does not work when the Edge 520 is on.
Both are mounted on my drops in K-Edge mounts on either side of my stem.
Any advice for me?
