I know that when you turn on the Varia Rear Light the number of LEDS that light up tell you battery level. Is there anyway to display Varia battery level on a Edge 520 data screen continuously?????
Yes. If you pair the RTL with Edge and then form a light network with the RTL in it. There is a light battery data field that will show the status of the light with the lowest battery value. As you will only have the RTL in the light network then that will be the status of the RTL battery.
The Edge 520 data screen Varia battery level showing doesn't seem to correspond very closely to the number of leds that light up on turn on. I was hoping for numerical value on data screen but display is fine.
Will do further checking at different levels of battery to see how things correspond.
Great info, Alan. Works great on my Edge 1000. I already had the RTL paired and apparently that is a light network because I didn't have to do anything other than go to the data page and select, LIGHT, BATTERY.
FWIW, four LEDs is three bars, at least for me. Is this a linear scale?
