Varia Vision - Vehicle Column Display from Varia Radar

Good afternoon everyone,

I'm a Garmin Edge 1000 (version 8.1), Varia Radar (version 3.4), and Varia Vision (version 2.4) user. I'm having an issue with the Vehicle Column that is displayed in the Vision. It's displayed on the right side and with the line being so thin, it's very hard to see. I have to concentrate and focus my eyes on the Vision and thus take my eyes off the road. I'd like to be able to switch the Vehicle Column to the left side like it can be done on the Edge 1000 (Settings - Sensors - Varia Radar - Sensor Details - Alert Settings - Vehicle Column). In fact on my very first ride with the Vision, I changed the setting on the Edge to Left and the Vehicle Column switched to the left on the Vision. About halfway through my ride after the Vision did one of its disconnect/reconnect things, the Vehicle Column switched back to the right. Since that point, I haven't been able able to switch the Vehicle Column back to the left side of the Vision display.

Is anyone else having problems seeing the Vehicle Column on the right side of the vision (maybe I just have bad eyes LOL)? Has anyone been able to successfully keep the Vehicle Column on the Left side of the Vision?

    Hello,

    The Vehicle Column adjustment should hold true. You might want try and remove the Varia Radar and Vision from your Edge 1000 and repair the sensors. If you are still having trouble please reach out to our support team. Thank you!

    I am having the same problem. I have removed both the Radar and Vision from the Edge 1000 and re-paired both devices. It seems, the Edge remembers the configurations of each device, i.e., the data pages of the Vision after being re-paired. Is there a way to wipe the configuration files for each device and start anew apart from doing a master reset?. Or is there a way to examine/modify a file so that the Vision displays the column on the left?.

    This issue has been fixed with the latest firmware upgrades. V9.20 for the Edge1000 & V3.10 for the Varia Vision
