1st ride with Varia Vision

Got Vision and went on my 1st ride with it today.. Crappy weather so I only went on a short 20-mile ride..

I had about 5 radar disconnects during the ride. Vision announced the disconnects but then immediately repaired. The odd part was that the Edge 1000 stayed connected to the Radar and continued to track vehicles during the Radar's disconnects from Vision.

The Edge 1000, the Radar and Vision are all up to date firmware wise..

Other than that, Vision performed well. Peripheral vision is slightly effected to the side you have VV mounted on and the radar alert vibrations are a little weak.. I did not see the huge delay in data that others have comment on but did notice a slight delay of less than a second.. Not a big deal to me..

Anyone else rocking the combo having radar disconnects?

Total of 7 rides (approx. 45kms each) with the same combo as yours without any disconnects.

42 miles today and I had 2 more disconnects of the radar.

I have it paired to the Edge so maybe I will try disabling the Radar sensor on the Edge and connect the radar direct to Vision..

Never had a single issue with the Radar and Edge before adding Vision.

How do you connect radar to vision when it is connected to edge 1000. I just did my first ride and radar is showing cars on the edge but I get nothing on the vision. I did briefly see a radar display when the edge disconnected for a moment but once the edge reconnected it disappeared.

The HMD uses proximity searching. Hold the HMD close to the radar unit. The radar information is passed directly from the RTL (Radar unit) to the HMD. It does not go via the Edge.

Still getting several disconnects a ride...

For the last 3 or 4 rides (over 100 miles total) I've had Vision only paired to Radar and nothing else. Today I went 42 miles and remember at least 6 disconnects..

Radar does auto reconnect and it does it almost instantly but it's still a pain and should not be happening when the 2 devices are only a few feet apart and nothing else is connect to them

Beofre my ride today I decided to factory reset them both. I don't think a normal factory reset can be done on them (if it can then how?) so what I did was format Vision and reinstall the firmware. Did the same on Radar.. No change and still getting disconnects..

Received my varia vision last night and took it for a test this morning. The speed is wrong, the distance is wrong and even though I have set to display temperature in degree Celsius and distance to be in kilometres. The unit display otherwise. Already upgraded firmware to ver. 2.60

What Edge model are you paired with and what software build do you have on that unit?

edge 1000 with firmware 8.10 varia vision 2.60

Try toggling the temperate units from C to F and back to C. This was one of the items that was fixed in 8.10.
