Varia Vision/Garmin Express

Folks, my VV arrived today. I have successfully paired it with my Edge 1000 and that end of things is working fine. But try as I might, I cannot get GE (PC version) to recognise it when connected via USB. The VV is fully charged and the USB port is fully functional. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

    I will see if I can gain access to a Windows 10 machine. I use a Windows 7 and the HMD mounts to that without any problems.

    OK thanks. I may be able to test on a win 8 machine tomorrow.

    Just tried it on a Win 8 box and it mounts and is recognised by GE just fine. So maybe this is a Win 10 issue...

    Nope. Is there something I need to do to mount it?



    I have the same issue with mine. No contact with the pc at all , Garmin aware of this, but as usual NO help. Gess they are busy making more products that not work,

    You have any problem with the Mini USB wire .
    Change the wire
    we had the same problem in a Varia rADAR
    THE problem was resolved

    You cannot easily change the cable as it is a custom cable made for the Vision.

    I had the same problem but when I powered down the VV and my Edge (and my RTL for good measure), it seemed to connect. I thought I might have to stand on one leg and chant but was able to get it came to that.

    Nope, not the cable because it works on a Win 8 box.
