Light Battery Field on 520

It's always a question mark ('?') on my 520 when I add the battery field. Is that not the battery status of the Varia?

If it's something else (headlight?), is there a way to get the Varia taillight battery status on the 520?

    Is the Varia (RTL) configured as part of a light network as well as being added as a radar unit?

    The light battery status is the status of the battery with the lowest value that is part of the light network.

    Hmm, good question. I didn't do anything special when I paired it, so whatever the default is.

    I don't have my 520 with me today, or I could check. Is that under the sensor details for the Varia?

    Under the list of sensors look for "Light network" and see if the radar unit shows up under it.

    Just to close this out, enabling Light Network under sensors (off by default) allows battery status to show on your ride screens.
