BT phone drops since adding radar

My Edge 520 has been rock solid! Not a single issue or disconnect. Since adding the radar I have noticed a few BT phone disconnects on each ride. The phone reconnects within a second and I've not missed any notifications or had any auto upload issues.

Before yesterdays ride I factory reset the Edge and set everything back up including pairing up my D-Fly, a speed sensor, the radar and the phone. After doing that yesterday I still had 2 phone BT disconnects.

This could be an issue with the Edge 520 3.10 update or it could have something to do with adding the radar. All other sensors stay connected and only the BT phone drops. It's not a huge deal at the moment because the phone immediately reconnects and it only happenes 2 or 3 times a ride..

Any ideas? As stated I've reset the Edge 520. I've also removed and repaired the Edge in the phones settings. The phone is an Android device.
  • What version is the software on the RTL (Radar Tail Light)? Garmin moved the radar on to its own data channel in the latest release.
  • The Edge 520 is on 3.10 and the radar (RTL) is on 3.0

If it's not the radar causing it then something must have happened when I updated the Edge 520 to 3.10.

It's just BT phone that disconnects. The radar connection and all sensor connections have been rock solid.
