Please Improve Edge 1000 beeps alert tones

Please Improve Varia Edge 1000 beeps alert tones.

Edge 1000 also beeps with an audible alert but I don’t think
I actually ever heard it with road and wind noise factored in.
This is the same as when the Edge 1000 gets a text or phone alert,
I never hear the beep.

the Edge 1000 has weak and very low alert tones.

The alert volume is a function of the head unit hardware ... so I doubt it can be increased with a firmware update.

The Edge 1030 Plus has a much more robust speaker and so the alert sounds are louder…

The volume definitely needs to be increased. With moderate wind noise the unit can barely be heard.

Same on my 520.. I wonder if Garmin even can improve this since so far they have chosen not to.

Just added the Varia 515 Radar and the tone volume for alerts is not nearly loud enough on my Edge 1000. Need a fix for this for safety!!

I agree - we need a louder beep like the beep you get when you turn the unit on! My friend has a 1030 and I can hear his beep when he’s behind me but I rarely hear mine.

please see if you can bump up the beep!

Given that this unit has been retired from support, I doubt that this will ever happen.
