False alarms in my garage?

I was out in the garage today checking out the options in the new RTL and Edge 520 firmware (the rain in Oregon is supposed to take a break tomorrow, so I hope to have a test on the bike). I was holding one unit while the other sat on the workbench. While holding the radar to manually change the light setting, I happened to move my arm a bit and the 520 suddenly showed a vehicle right behind me. This happened several more times while randomly moving the radar. The face of the radar was pointed across the garage, in the general direction of a largish window. All the doors were closed. No vehicles nearby and the wind was calm outside.

I have been experiencing false alarms for months, about 5 every 10 miles. Not enough to really bug me, but a bit distracting. The dot is almost always in the penultimate position, with absolutely no vehicles in sight, and it disappears after a couple of seconds. It happens on quiet country roads, main arterials and neighborhood streets. I am now wondering if there is a loose connection or something else that just randomly causes the false alarms based on movement. Any ideas?
