Varia and Edge 1000: Max number of supported lights / sensors?

I'm trying to use the following setup:
- HR sensor
- Speed sensor
- Cadence sensor
- Varia Headlight
- 2x Varia Taillights
- Varia Radar

It seems if I have the regular taillights connected (figured I would get the turn signal feature to work), the light network disintegrates within the first 10 minutes of a ride, meaning, typical sequence:
- "Taillight disconnected"
- "Radar disconnected"
- "Varia Error 2:1" (once "Varia Error 3:1")
After the radar disconnects in this scenario it does not re-connect and I lose the radar functionality until I power cycle everything. Putting the Edge 1000 to sleep doesn't seem to do it.

I'm now using just the Headlight and the Radar and that seems to have been stable for a bit.

According to DCR its 8 on the 1000.

although you use 7, you could drop the speed sensor and let the GPS do that?

You are mixing 2 different things up. There is a limit of 8 devices in the light network. This limit is different to the total number of sensors that can communicate with the Edge at the same time.
