Do you know when Edge 810 will support Varia radar? It should be available with firmware update in Q3 but still nothing although next updates are available.
I was hoping to buy myself a Varia as an Xmas treat, but there's no point until it works with my 810. :(
Today Garmin released a new firmware for the 510/810, and guess what, still no support for Varia :-(
Will probably be released next year in spring when you don't need lights anymore.
Response I got from Garmin after emailing into the support team
"Thank you for contacting Garmin Europe. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your device and I am happy to assist. I'm afraid that we do not currently have a release date for this firmware update. This is something that we are working on however we can not advise of a date for this at this stage. Please accept my sincerest apologies for any inconvenience caused."
To say this is disapointing is putting it lightly. Mine was a gift and there's not much I can do about it now.
I shot over a note earlier in the week asking for clarity on an updated date. I'll post back once I hear back. Given that it's the holidays and going into CES next week, everyone is either out, or crazy-busy. So it might be a few days.

Could you ask them about Varia notification being supported by vibration on the 920XT? Is it possible? Is it currently being contemplated? Is it planned? Is there a release projection? Feel free to water board to get some straight answers from them.
The Varia notification on the Edge 1000 screen is great, especially with the recent update letting the user move the notification display from the right to the left. But it would be awesome to have a vibration alert on the watch in addition, for the times when not looking at the screen.
