is radar information stored anywhere on the Edge?

I'v been using my Varia with the Edge 1000 for a couple of weeks, using both firmware versions. Very pleased, the device normally detects vehicles (cars and motorcycles) long before I can hear them. No false positives or false negatives (so far) either around town or out in the countryside.

So, does the unit store any of the data from the Varia in the .fit file for the activity, or is it just a "dumb" unit that displays the information on-the-fly only?

There is some information about the sensor written in to activity file, but none of the events reported by the radar unit get written to activity file.

Thanks for the reply Alan, I was curious. Not sure what I would have done with the data as I'm still not sure what to do with the di2 data from the D-fly. :)

Can you be more specific? RU saying that just the fact that a radar unit is connected is recorded or is there more than that?

It records information about the radar unit, serial number, software version, RX rate.
