"Specified unit ID is invalid"?

If you look on the device you should see a file Garmin\GarminDevice.xml. Could you post that?

The error you are seeing is because the unit you have is not registered in the Garmin production database. The question is why is not there.

I bought the device from CleverTraining (where I have bought many other Garmin products). When I tried to register it on the Garmin website the s/n was recognised without a problem. File attached

You can try GARMIN WebUpdater UPDATE TO V2.20.

The most recent (I am an upgrade junkie) - 4.1.8.0

If you look on the back of the unit there should be a serial number just above the charging port. Could you post that number and a picture of the back of the unit if you could.

I have passed this information on to Garmin and they are investigating it.

The units' serial #s are 48E005446 and 48D011786 (if that's what you are looking for). And unit IDs are 3909579840 and 48D011786

Garmin contacted me today and said that were some units that had not been registered in their production database. That has now been corrected and they would like to know if you can now register your unit via Garmin Express.
