Same issue. Found a solution yet? Thx
Connect to unit via the Varia App on your phone via BT pairing, then browse to gallery, which connects to unit via wifi to image/video files, browse the Gallery, select the file, download it to phone, go to Image Gallery on phone, send it it via Whatsapp....you can edit length and add filter in WA...
Another option is to plug the Varia directly into your phone...I have Samsung and USB C to USB C will mount Varia as external disc, go browse the DCIM folder for video clips and you can share them direct from there...long click file brings up Share option....
many many videos over a several hour ride. Is there a way to upload all at once because they take sooo loooong to load the download one at a time?
Remove the SD card from the Varia, insert into PC using SD card reader, when the card gets mounted, browse thru the files and download.
fastest way but you'll need PC:
Remove the SD card from the Varia, plug into PC via SD Card reader, when its mounted, browse the files on the card and download the ones you want..
Go to WhatsApp Web desktop version, load it via the WA QR scanner, now you have WA on your computer, send videos via WA Web....
Hi,
I’m also encountering this issue right now. I’ve been searching for a good video editing software to use with my Garmin Varia camera but haven’t found a dedicated option from Garmin yet. If anyone has recommendations for software that works well with Varia footage, please share! As for sending a 30-second video on WhatsApp, I’ve noticed it often struggles with file size or format. Compressing the video or converting it to a more WhatsApp-friendly format (like MP4 with a smaller resolution) might help. You can try using free tools like HandBrake or a simple mobile video editing app to trim and compress the video.
Would love to hear any other suggestions!
