No sounds on iPhone

I have set sounds to be on, Alerts over other media on in the settings of the Varia App and have set max volume on iPhone, but just get no sounds when vehicle approaches. The orange bar appears on the screen when a vehicle is approaching but NO sound. It says I have the latest firmware and also iPhone 15 Pro is at latest version of App and iOS.

I typically use the daylight flash mode so it flashes when a vehicle approaches.

Any suggestions please?

I have the same problem. I had it once before, but after reinstalling the app (on my iPhone 12) and turning things on and off the sound came back. But not the problem is recurring: visuals work (I see cars approaching on the screen, with iPhone on handlebar holder) but not audio alert.

Is there someone at Garmin who can look into this?
