Whether linked or unlinked, I only ever see one battery status indicator inside garmin connect. Is it possible to see battery status from both pedals? I had a situation where the left battery was good but right battery went flat and everything still appeared to work but my power output went down by half (basically, only reporting left pedal). I kept checking battery status which was still reading good, so it made the problem difficult to diagnose.
