Garmin Rally RS very slight play in spindle

Hello I noticed that my Garmin Rally RS 100 pedals have very slight play (amplitude ~0.5mm) at the interface between the spindle and pedal housing.

The pedals are 1 year old; I have way older Shimano DA pedals (+6 years) which are with zero play.

Is this a common issue of the Rally in RS version, there is any way to fix this? Thanks

I occasionally have the same issue with my RS200 pedals; I think it’s ambient temperature dependent and I wouldn’t worry about it if the movement’s only just perceptible. You could always check that the spindle nut is correctly torqued (10Nm). There’s no way of actually adjusting bearing preload.
