Power phase angle wrong on Rally RS200 pedals

I'm trying a set of used Rally RS200 pedals, but the power numbers aren't even close to right. I think I've traced it to the right pedal not correctly reading the phase angle.

I have re-set the installation angle multiple times, calibrated, checked batteries, switched batteries between pedals cleaned, oiled contacts, unpaired and re-paired, undated the firmware in the pedals and my Edge 530, etc. etc., but it is still the same. I road them for 40km yesterday, tried sprints, re-calibrating several times along the way, still the same.

Are these broken, or is there something else to try? he right pedal seems to be stuck reading the wrong angle.

Been in a chat with Garmin, and they checked the pedal file in my G. Connect. They say something is wrong with the right pedal, and are replacing them for free.

Let me did a bit deeper, but the problem is there is basically no power phase data from the right side. In fact there is almost no data the right side. Most of the data shows it as coming 100% from the left.

It looks like the pedals are on software version 3, so need an update.

Let me know if you need any guidance on how to do that. You should be able to do it through your Edge 530.

I wondered about the V3.0, but both GC and my Edge say that the software is up to date and there is no option to update it further. I did just update the software recently. Garmin chat guy said V3.0 is the latest for Rally RS200 pedals.

If you have both your phone and Edge paired to the pedals I would suggest removing the phone pairing. That is really only need to do updates if you don't have an Edge.
