Garmin Rally RS200 connection to Garmin Connect

I have just purchased a pair of Garmin Rally RS.

When trying to pair with Garmin Connect app with an Android phone the process consistently fails.

I have tried to connect with using an iPhone which was successful.

Their seems to be an issue pairing with Android based phones.

Firmware update is 4.10 (latest as of 17.02.23, updated using iPhone)

I have the exact same problem with my Rally RS100. Seems to work ok on my devices but will not pair with my connect app on my android. Been going round in circles for two days with the helpdesk. I know it's their end but they won't contact third line.

  • I'm finding now as well that only one side will pair with my Wahoo Roam head unit.

Seems to be a lot of bluetooth bugs with latest update, disappointing as I'd held off till now to purchase the Rally's thinking most of tgis stuff would be ironed out.

  • Seems I can only get one pedal to pair to my Wahoo head unit.

They've given me a code to send the connect app logs and a few other things, so hopefully they'll resolve the issue soon. It's most probably a bluetooth update as you say.

  • I've been watching these issues since the first time 4.10 pipped up for updating my XC200. It was failing several times and learned, meanwhile, that it needs fresh batteries to do it.

Today I've changed both batteries and update went on without any issues. Now pedals sensor info shows 4.10

But, there is no way I can connect them to Garmin Connect App.

    I have tried

    - reboot phone

    - reinstall app on my Android 13 phone

    - install fresh app on Android 9 phone

    - install fresh app on Android 12 tablet.

Nothing worked. The pedals are detected by each device. ,trying to connect and then fail. Sometimes, if I retry, I have to manually enter the left pedal code. This does not help also.

When starting Zwift app on my tablet it detects the pedals as Bluetooth connection and, once selected, I can see power and cadence data from them.

But, when trying the Tacx Training on the same tablet - it does not detect the pedals.

  • I'm having the same issue that started a few days ago.  Rally pedals are connecting to the Garmin Connect app on my wife's iPhone but not on my android.  Pedals are detected by Wahoo Bolt, so it must be an Android issue.  Please help, Garmin!

Yes, is definitely an issue with android. I updated a ticket and they have advised is a known issue and will get back to me. I bet if can roll back the update it will work as last time when had a problems with my watch. This is a big issue and probably affecting a good few customers.

  • Nice one. Keep us updated please.
