Strange behavior updating from 4.0 to 4.1 on Rally 100

The first thing to try would be to put a new set of batteries in. The 4.10 build is fixing a battery reporting issue that is 4.0. So the battery status you see with 4.0 may not be correct. The update needs the batteries to be above a minimum voltage before it will apply it.

I will try this....still unusual that it did not give the 20 red blinks to say update failed.

I'm having the same issue. Batteries only 5 rides old and using iPhone. I've tried at least 5 times to do the update.

Update, put new bats in and the update happened as documented.  Now shows 4.1 and no update available.  It did do the 20 green flashes when complete.

Same experience. 4.1 completed once I changed batteries.  Alan, thanks for advice. 

The same happened to me, except that the app no longer reports update available?

I’m waiting for a new battery, will the update just continue after that then, or how can I redo it when the app no longer finds any update?

I think I had same situation. Once new batteries were in pedals, my Edge 530 prompted the 4.1 upgrade. Selected install on the Edge, waited about 10 min, and it worked. Last step was to restart the Connect app on my phone. It then showed 4.1 installed. 

Yeah, my issue is now solved after a bit of a hassle... After battery replacement Connect Mobile did not offer the 4.10, but I saw it on Connect Web in the download queue to my watch... It did not pick it up during wifi sync though, I had to plug the watch into the PC and Garmin Express, and then update succeeded from the watch.

My 1040 prompted the firmware update, all ok, but it still shows 4.0 both on 1040 and on connect app.
