XC200 Intermittent Data

I just purchased a pair of XC200 pedals.  My first ride calibration data seemed off and it had my average power at 353W which I know is not correct.  My second ride I allowed calibration before I started and the data looked really good for about 25 minutes and then something appears to have happened with my right pedal.  You can see that my L/R balance goes out of wack.  What's confusing is that the data cuts out and then comes back at lower settings.  My first thought is to swap in a new battery but Garmin Connect says the battery levels are fine.

From other posts, it sounds like things to try are re-seating the battery and the battery cover, confirming crank arm length setting, etc.  Anything else to try?
