Shimming out 1 pedal with 2 washers ok?

I broke my arm on mtb 1 week ago. So i have been indoor spinning on my old ProForm290spx 1 arming it.

I installed some Rally XC200's the other day.

I noticed the left right balance substantially off favoring my left leg 54%/46%

On my mtb i have a SRAM power meter and i am typically at 49%/51%

I messed with my cleats for a few days and no real help. I reset them, uninstalled batteries etc no help.

Today i measured from center of bike out to pedals and discovered the Left side was out about 1/4" more.

So I took the 2 metal washers that came with them and shimmed out the Right pedal and now i am 50/50.

Seemed like plenty of threads left for pedal to crank.  Any issues with this?

I am going to try and see if there is a way to bring the left crank arm in or right one out, but kinda hard with 1 arm right now.

These pedals seem like a great tool to dial in bike fit.  Hopefully i can use them on my mtb to get my cleats, seat position  right then go back to my xtr pedals since they are similar.  need to check height difference.

I cannot imagine new real bikes would have this discrepancy from center of pedal to center of bike but i will be measuring it on my bikes from now on.
