I bought an MTB Edge a few weeks ago and I have a heavy Bluetooth Connectivity Issues Problems between Connect Mobile App and the MTB Edge.
I went through the Garmin Troubleshooting Articles and Guides, opened a support ticket, sent debugging data to garmin, uploaded videos of the issue, etc. but I didn't get any helpful response yet.
Problem description:
- I can connect the MTB Edge to the connect mobile app and do an initial sync between the app and the MTB Edge. But the BT connection between the App and the MTB Edge gets lost after a few seconds. A restart of my smartphone has no effect. A restart of the MTB Edge solves th issue for a few seconds. After that the same problem occurs.
- I tested with three Android Smartphones: one Android 14 and two two Android 15 on latest patch level. I have the same issue on all three devices (between switching the devices I reset all connections and did factory resets on the edge.
- The MTB Edge shows an active BT connection, the Connect Mobile App responds "not connected"
- a few months before i used an Edge 840 without problems for about a year on the same samrtphone (Android 14)
- Classical BT Issues are checked (Energy Saving Modes, deleted all other connected devices and so on)
- The Edge ran on the current stable Software Release. Meanwhile it runs on the current Beta 28.20. Same problem.
I'm really annoyed at this point and am close to returning the device, not least because of the poor support I received regarding my problem.
But before I do that, I wanted to ask here: Are there any users here who might be experiencing the same issue with the MTB Edge and Android?
