No garmin segments within edge mtb activities?

If I capture a bike activity on my vivoactive I get the segments tab and am able to create garmin segments.

However, if I capture an activity on my edge mtb I dont see the tab.

I do not have strava segments enabled, and the fact it works with my vivoactive makes me think it is configured correctly?

    The MTB I think will default to using Garmin Segments. If you go to Training on the MTB and scroll down the page do you see segments as an option.

    It likes like you were using an ebike, it could be that the segments exclude ebikes from the leader board?

    Thanks - this got me digging. If I use the mountain profile I get segments whether the ebike sensor is on or off. If I use the enduro profile I dont get segments either way.

    Mountain - Segments works

    EMountain - No Segments

    Enduro - No Segments

    Downhill - Segments

    I was using the enduro profile to track the descents in 5hz, but it looks like it disables other functionality. The whole 5hz thing seems quite bungled and beta in implementation. The profile should not affect 5hz; it seems to me 5hz should turn on whenever descent (or ideally speed > threshold for offroad activities) is detected.

    I don't think it is related to 5Hz. I think it is more to do with Enduro being a new profile and may not have been enabled fully in Garmin Connect. Let me do some digging.
