Explore 2 not showing all climbs on route

Hi,

I have several courses saved to the app that contain multiple climbs. All my activity profiles have ClimbPro enabled and set to "Uncategorized." However, on my Edge Explore 2, the routes only show some of the climbs for each course.

For example, I have a route that’s 40.70 km long. In the Garmin app on my iPhone, I see 6 climbs. The same route on the Garmin Connect website also shows 6 climbs. But on my Edge Explore 2, only 4 climbs appear when I view the course.

  • ClimbPro is set to "Uncategorized"
  • I’ve installed and reinstalled the latest maps several times

Any ideas why this is happening?

  • I have experienced the same behaviour from the very start. The course on the phone app shows more climbs than what ClimbPro picks up on the device. I can only assume both systems do not have the same climb detection criteria in terms of minimal length or slope.

    However it isn't necessarily for the worst because some of the extra climbs detected on the Connect app are not really worth mentionning and barely even qualifies as being climbs in my opinion.
