Is there a way to pair more than one speed/cadence sensor on one Edge device?

See topic

I have 2 bikes- one that I call my "beater" for regular training and commuting. Let's call this bike 1

Bike 2 is what I use for longer rides, sprints, and dedicated trail runs. It is a much nicer bike.

I can easily move my Edge Explore 2 and the lights I have paired with it between bikes. I cannot easily move the speed and cadence sensors I have on bike 2 however.

Would I be able to get an extra speed/cadence sensor set for bike 1, and have my Edge device pair with those each time I take bike 1 out?

  • You can pair multiple sensors of the same type to the edge explore 2, so having 2 speed sensors is not an issue. Please remember, though, that the edge will connect to only one of them at a time, and if both sensors are awake and within range, it will probably connect to whichever gets through first. So when you power on the edge you have to make sure that only one of the sensors is awake and/or within range.

  • Thanks, I will try this then.

  • You can easily disable a specific device in the sensor list by selecting it and switching "Status" to off.
