My Garmin Explore 2 not updating

My Garmin Explore 2 purchased yesterday tells me that it is updated to version 10.27, I tried both with Express and with Connect and it does not give me new versions available. How is it possible that the latest should be 26.18?

I had the same problem but evenually using Garmin Express on the PC did download the update. I also enrolled in beta updates using the option on the Garmin connect website, I don't know if that helped with getting Express to send the update.

Once the firmware was updated, the next time I connected the EE2 to the PC I could download the 2025 maps update too using Garmin Express.
